In 2019 when the Toronto Raptors clinched their first ever NBA Championship title Carling had a special email pop up. None other than Roberta Nurse - head coach Nick Nurse's wife. She asked her to paint a large 6 foot, 4 panel piece showcasing the hands of all players and staff reaching up alongside one another amidst the trophy. Coach Nurse hung the large piece in his dining room - which became the back-drop for all at-home press conferences during the pandemic. 

Fast-froward 4 years later The Toronto Raptors asked Carling to re-create coaches piece but as their official 2019 Championship piece to be hung inside Scotia-Bank arena. As a Canadian artist - the highest of honours!
