Carling was chosen as the official creator to represent Canada for their Heritage series. "Stories of Heritage, football, and purpose inspired by national pride and the love for our game." She chose to paint a live piece of recently retired Atiba Hutchinson during a CONCACAF Gold Cup match between Guadeloupe and Canada in Toronto, June 2023. The caveat? She only had 2 hours (the duration of the game) to paint the 4x6 foot piece. Check out the story here. The piece was delivered to Atiba's family who were asked to come to the pitch and surprised with it as a gift. It was a pretty magical experience!
